Prevention is Better Than Cure
The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) Wessex Branch Conference will be taking place in Southampton on Thursday 28th November 2019.
This event will be of particular interest to any nurse or healthcare worker where Infection Prevention and Control is key within their role or setting. This includes Infection Control and Prevention Practitioners, Ward Nurses, Infection Control Link Nurses, Link Nurses, Community Nurses, Care Home Nurses and more.
Programme highlights will include:-
- Quality Improvement – a look at how to monitor and implement improvements in the clinical setting
- Patient Hand Hygiene – a chance to review how the perception of IPC has influenced habits for patients themselves
- Measles – A Patient Story – investigating the implications of a measles outbreak and how it was handled

- Collaborative Working to Reduce CAUTI – how different innovations across healthcare settings can improve patient outcomes.
